How Would You Like Your Hare Done?

Catherine Conaty is pleased to present a two day mosaic workshop with Marg Shaw.

During the workshop you will work with china and glass to create your very own version of a 20cm x 30cm hare and learn techniques that apply to many aspects of mosaic animal portraiture and working with ceramics.

Marg will teach you methods for working in mosaic that will give you increased skills in:

• image selection and transfer, and substrate preparation

• interpretation of shading and shape and how to translate that with mosaic media

• cutting techniques for different ceramics and glass

• different adhesives and their various uses

• creating a textured background using tinted thinset

• suitable for beginners to advanced

Date: 24th - 25th October

Location: Carina Heights, Brisbane

Cost: $320 (including GST). Fee includes all materials, substrate and adhesives. A deposit of $100 is required to secure your place. Some studio tools are available for use by students. Numbers will be strictlylimited due to Covid workplace regulations.
